Terms of Service

This document is a draft. Once the operator details are finalized, it will be replaced with formal terms after legal review.

1. The service

asideskills is a community where Aside users upload and download skills (SKILL.md files). All features are currently free. If paid features are introduced, we will announce them and update these terms before they take effect.

2. Relationship with Aside

asideskills is an independent site and is not affiliated with Aside. Aside and related trademarks belong to their respective owners.

3. Accounts

You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for your account and handle, and you may not use a handle or name that impersonates someone else.

4. Content you upload

  • You own and are responsible for the skills, descriptions, and comments you upload. Do not upload other people’s work that you do not have the rights to.
  • Other users may download and use the skills you upload under the license you choose. The site uses them only as needed to display and distribute them.
  • Skills with instructions that harm others, such as collecting personal information, making unauthorized payments or transfers, or taking over accounts, are prohibited, as are spam, advertising, and illegal or hateful content.
  • The operator may hide or remove prohibited content in response to reports or at its own discretion.
  • Skills you upload go through an automatic rule check and an AI review before they are published. For this review, the content you upload (SKILL.md, text files, title and description) may be sent to the OpenAI API. Publication may be delayed or rejected based on the review, and you can appeal a rejected version once. A skill that receives several reports may be hidden automatically until a moderator checks it.

5. Responsibility for using skills

Skills change how Aside behaves. You should review a skill’s contents yourself before installing it. A ‘Verified’ badge only means the operator installed the skill and checked that it worked at a particular point in time. It does not guarantee any results.
